Cinema in Colors
It is with great satisfaction that the Social Inclusion Center – NIS/UFRJ, presents its activities for the first half of 2018 with the extension course Cinema in Colors. The course intends to promote community awareness, through cinema, of the processes of discrimination and violation of the basic rights of individuals of sexual orientation and gender identity who flee the logic of heteronormative binarism. In this way, we intend to hold four meetings, where films will be seen and discussed that allow viewing the conflicts experienced by individuals/cisheterodiscordant groups. With this, we will be betting on the production of empathy as a fundamental instrument for the formation of an expanded moral conscience and the full development of a broader sense of justice.
